THOMAS, BEALER, PARTITE AND WEBSTER RECORD WINS AT SPIRIT AUTO CENTER SPEEDWAY

A new page in history began Friday night as the first features of the 2016 racing season were run on the Spirit Auto Center Speedway.  Luke Thomas, Pat Bealer, Richard Partite and John Webster entered their names in the records books as the first feature winners of the renamed speedway.  Thomas edged out Doug Snyder at the finish line to win the wingless 600cc Micro Sprint feature while Pat Bealer led the 270cc Micro Sprint feature from green to checkered.  Richard Partite picked up the win in the Slingshot feature while John Webster scored the win in the Four Cylinder feature.RSI_6213-L

Jon Keller jumped out tEdBarber_SACScaro the early lead in the 600cc Micro Sprint feature before Chris Locuson passed Keller for the lead on the third lap.  Locuson continued to lead the event until lap 17 when he and Thomas briefly tan
gled in turn one.  The yellow flag was thrown and Locuson and Thomas were placed third and fourth on the restart.  Before another lap could be completed, Locuson spun in the fourth turn attempting to pass for second.  Doug Snyder led Keller and Thomas to the final restart.  Tho
mas passed Keller for second with two laps to go and nipped Doug Snyder at the finish line for the win.  Keller finished third with Bobby Butlerand Wayne Scott completing top five.

Bealer drew the pole for the 270cc Micro feature event and led every lap of the event.  Tyler Reinhardt and Jacob Hendershot each chased Bealer but both retired with mechanical issues.  Kyle Spence moved into second and chased Bealer to the checkered flag.  Brandon Pavel moved from fifth to third in the final two laps to finish third followed by Luke Fogg and Steve Coslop.

Partite managed to lap the field with the exception of second place finisher, Austin Stofflet on his way to winning the Speedway Bagel Slingshot feature event.

John Webster led from green to checkered to capture his second career win in the ServPro Four Cylinder Enduro feature.  Keith McKinley recorded his best career finish in second with Carly Rocap, Chris Sammons and Art Knapp completing the top five.
