The all-new Design for Vision/Sunglass Central Speedway at Bridgeport has already inked Monday, June 18 as to when the fans will witness the jaw-dropping, non-stop action of the Amsoil USAC Wingless 410 Sprint Cars. If the stars and cars of the Midwest and West Coast weren’t enough to get the fans excited as they travel to the East Coast, Bridgeport has added The Spirit Auto Center Speedway 600cc micro sprints to the racing card. The ever-popular micro sprints will be bolting on their wings as they join the USAC wingless 410 Sprint Cars during Monday’s ‘Eastern Storm’ event.
An overwhelming number of competitors have been asking and chomping at the bit just to have a race on the all-new 3/8 mile layout. It will certainly be a neutral site for all the top hot shoes in the 600 ranks while providing fast and furious action. “At this point we want to limit the entries like many other tracks do for some select big mid-week events,” offered general manager Danny Serrano. “We’d like to cap the number of micros to ’30 or so’ so we can keep the show moving along and the give the fans and drivers a quality show while getting them home at a decent hour that Monday. After talking this race over with more than a dozen teams, I’m just as excited as they are!”
$1,000 awaits the winner, while $100 is reserved start money. A $25 pre-entry fee can be applied with each driver’s registration before the day of the event.
