Bridgeport, NJ – Finally, a Friday night with great weather and the fields of cars at the Spirit Auto Center Speedway responded to the pleasant weather conditions on a night of racing sponsored by Hyper Racing.

Quinn Llewellyn racked up back-to-back wins in the Hyper Racing 600 Micro Sprint feature. Alex Swift tacked on another win in the 270 Winged Micro Sprint feature. Christopher Laureigh equaled his brother’s record of six feature wins this season as the point leader in the Speedway Entertainment All Star Slingshots while Kylin Evans raced hard to capture her third feature in a row in the Junior Slingshots. Eric Degler tried his hand on the quarter mile and picked up the win in the Four Cylinder feature.

Quinn Llewellyn led from the green flag to the checkered to capture his third win of the season in the Hyper Racing 600s.
Lukas Kostic raced to a runner-up finish – his best of the season, finishing in front of multi-year track champion, Matt Smith. Smith started fourth but with an aggressive start to the feature, found himself losing ground. By the time he raced into third, the top two drivers were out of reach but it was still a podium finish for the driver of the No. 33. JT Bierman put another good twenty-five laps together to finish fourth for his second top five in as many weeks with Dan Leaper completing the top five at the checkered.

Dylan DeVault led the first two laps of the Winged 270 feature before Alex Swift raced into the lead. Swift started in the third row but when the drivers in the front rows went high, Swift went low and quickly moved himself into second. Many laps of green flag racing followed until the field reached about three laps to go when a multiple of situations developed. Cole Wyers was not injured when he and his car went for a ride. DeVault lost a left rear and the caution waved again.

Swift raced to the checkered for win No. 7 over Joe Dopke who raced from the back of the field to grab the runner-up spot. Nick Walton picked up the third podium spot while Billy Gray finished fourth. It was a big night for Ian John who finished fifth.

The All Star Slingshots have been the Laureigh brothers show for most of the season. There is one driver, however, who has been putting his best effort up every week and letting the Laureigh brothers know that there’s another driver in the mix. Matthew Lashley led the field to the green flag and then led the way for the first six laps of the feature even though Chris Laureigh started alongside of him. Chris took the lead on lap seven and left the field to decide the spots from second on back. Jon Laureigh did finish second but Lashley crossed the line in third. Charlie Moore finished fourth with Darian Danyluk rounding out the top five.

The Junior Slingshots put on another great contest as Khloe Dennis led the way for the first fourteen laps of the race. Dennis has been showing a lot of strength in recent weeks and a first win was only a matter of time. Unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be on Friday. With one lap remaining, Dennis and multiple feature winner, Waylon Wolf tangled. Kylin Evans had it all happen in front of her and maintained her composure and speed to drive by the incident and take her third win in a row. Carl Taylor collect his best finish in second followed by “Hollywood” Danny Kurtz in third. Kenna Evans, the winner’s sister, finished fourth with Logan Showers rounding out the top five.

Eric Degler took the lead at the green and led all the way to the checkered to earn his first Four Cylinder win on the quarter mile. Joe Garey, Sr. followed with Joe Garey, Jr. taking third followed by Kelly Fleming and Brayden Morrison.

A full night of action is planned for this Friday night with Hyper Racing 600s, AC Race Products 270 Winged Micro Sprints, Speedway Entertainment All Star and Junior Slingshots in addition to Rivera Construction & McKinney’s Towing Mod Lites and Executive Transportation Stage One Modifieds.
