Bridgeport, NJ – Wayne Scott raced to his second Skyscraper victory in the Hyper Racing Wingless 600 Micro Sprints while Alex Swift earned his first Skyscraper victory for the AC Racing Products Winged 270s.
Charlie Geibel became a first time Skyscraper winner in the Speedway Entertainment All Star Slingshots presented by National Fragile X FOUNDATION. Austin Whitby was also a first time Skyscraper winner in the Junior Slingshot event. Brett Smith was the winner of the Smith Fabrication – Carter Mullins Racing Stage 1 Modifieds.
Wayne Scott raced to victory behind the wheel of the Bowden Construction No.13 for this year’s Skyscraper victory. Scott started fourth in the starting line-up but jumped a wheel and dropped back to ninth in the early going. He then picked his way through the field. “Chris Fenimore is always fast and was very fast in the early going,” Scott explained. With Scott in the lead and JT Bierman in second, Scott had to hold off Bierman on several restarts.
Scott raced to the win over Bierman with former track champion, Connor Gross in third. Kyle Spence finished fourth with Christian Bruno in fifth – both drivers have collected big victories this season. Dylan Kontra finished sixth followed by Sean Metz, Zach Curtis, Chris Fenimore and previous Skyscraper winner, Tommy Kunsman.
Hard to believe that the 2026 Skyscraper victory was a first for Alex Swift who has dominated Bridgeport’s 270 competition. “We’ve led laps in a few of them,” Swift explained, “but had issues or faded and just weren’t good enough.”
This year, Swift and the Blanda No. 15 were more than good enough. Swift led Billy Gray to the checkered. Previous winner, Pat Bealer crossed the finish line in third followed by Josh Anderson and Jimmy Wyers. Dylan Pennypacker finished sixth followed by Brett Estep, Nick Walton, Isaac Graby and Hunter Nardelli completed the top ten.
Geibel got the win over Charley Moore, a multi-time winner on the Bridgeport quarter mile. Amanda Angstadt finished third followed by Nick Tomlinson and Danica Weisenberger. Carl Taylor finished sixth followed by Robert Geibel, Mike Cogdill in his first Slingshot start, Noah Hosking and Joe Bodenschatz.
Austin Whitby raced to victory in the Junior Slingshot event for his first Bridgeport win. Landon McNichol finished second followed by Friday night winner, Khloe Dennis, Kylin Evans and Danny Kurtz. Following Whitby to the checkered were four drivers with wins this season.
Keegan Scott finished sixth with Logan Showers, Danica Banks, Tommy Morris and Lucas Sammans completed the top ten.
Brett Smith went two for two on Skyscraper weekend, winning both Stage 1 Modified main events. Darien Danyluk finished second to Smith followed by Christopher Laureigh, Jonathan Laureigh and Payton Cassel.
