Bridgeport, NJ – After five years of trying, AJ Chvostal raced to his first ever 600 Micro Sprint Victory in Spirit Auto Center Speedway action on Executive Transportation night. With just three more Friday night shows remaining in the 2025 Championship run, Jonathan Laureigh and Alex Swift raised their win totals to ten a piece in their respective divisions – the Speedway Entertainment All Star Slingshots and the AC Racing Products winged 270 Micro Sprints. It was win number four for Kylynn Evans in the Junior Slingshots while Jon Keller returned the favor and stole the Stage One Modified win from his brother late in the final laps
After collecting many wins in 270 Micro Sprints, AJ Chvostal moved in the 600s and went winless after many years of trying. That all ended on Friday when he went flag-to-flag for the win in the Hyper Racing 600s. Chvostal has made several appearances at Spirit this season, building consistency with each performance. “I am so pumped,” the first time winner exclaimed after his win.
James Hendricks finished second in his first Spirit appearance after holding off the challenges of back-to-back winner, PJ Williams. Luke Thomas finished fourth with Jeff Hartman taking fifth in his first appearance with a newly constructed car. Ty Short finished sixth with Julian Rexrode, Sam LaMothe, point leader, Quinn Llewellyn and JT Bierman roudning out the top ten.
It was the battle of the No. 18s on the start of the 270 Winged Micro Sprint feature as Billy Gray and Dylan DeVault battled for the lead. Gray led the way through the first caution on lap fourteen when Alex Swift took the lead on the restart and led the remaining six laps to the checkered. Swift raced for his tenth win of the season in the Blanda No. 15. Billy Gray finished second followed by Dylan DeVault, Lee Nardelli and Nick Skias.
Gage Marerro grabbed the lead on the start of the All Star Slingshot feature event but Christopher Laureigh had his No. 88L out in front by the time the field completed lap one. Jon Laureigh grabbed second on lap two and set his sights on his brother for the lead. Charlie Moore took over third just one lap later.
Chris led through lap five but Jon took the lead on the next circuit. Chris Laureigh and Charlie Moore tangled while racing for position but both drivers were able to race their way back to the front by the checkered.
It was win number ten for Jon Laureigh followed by Charlie Moore, Christopher Laureigh, Nick Tomlinson and Ken Matthews.
Kylynn Evans raced to her fourth win of the season in the Junior Slingshots after winning a three wide race for the lead on the first lap. Evans led every lap over five time feature winner, Waylon Wolf. Last week’s winner, David Morrison finished third followed by Ann Strachko and “Little Hollywood”, Danny Kurtz. Hannah Kormann, Carl Taylor, Logan Showers, Jack Brey and Danica Weinberger.
Jon Keller raced to the win in the Stage One Modifieds in what was a somewhat of a reversal of fortunes.
During the last appearance of the Stage One Modifieds, Jon Keller was headed for a win until his brother, Richie took the lead in the final laps. This time it was Richie who was leading until the final caution. Richie’s mount had been providing some significant fireworks due to a broken throttle and the driver using the brake to slow the car. Jon Keller took the lead on the restart and raced to the win over Jon Fugelo, Richie Keller, Owen Cassell and Dylan Hoch.
