Bridgeport, NJ – The final races of the 2025 season took place on the Spirit quarter mile on Friday night with the final night of racing sponsored by Speedway Entertainment. Tommy Kunsman earned his second win of the season in the Hyper Racing Micro Sprint 600s while Quinn Llewellyn picked up his first track championship in the Cassidy Painting No. 92. Alex Swift raced to his eleventh win of the season in the winged AC Racing Products 270 Micro Sprints on his way to his seventh track title with the Blanda No. 15. Jonathan Laureigh raced to another win in the Speedway Entertainment All Star Slingshots and his first track championship, chased all the way by his brother, Chris. Waylon Wolf raced to the win in the Junior Slingshot feature while Hannah Kormann took the honors as the 2025 Junior Slingshot Champion.

Kyle Spence took the lead at the wave of the green flag in the Hyper Racing 600 Micro Sprint feature with Kunsman quickly moving up to second. Spence hold off the Kunsman’s challenges through lap eight but Kunsman raced side-by-side with Spence to complete lap number nine. Kunsman led the way on lap ten over Spence, JT Bierman, Connor Gross and PJ Williams.

Spence challenged Kunsman for the lead on a lap fourteen restart but Kunsman prevailed. Kunsman led the way to the checkered over Spence, Gross, Williams and Bierman.

Llewellyn did not compete in Friday night’s events. The No. 92 made the decision to sit out the night after Llewellyn was involved in a bad wreck last weekend in a Saturday night race. The driver and team were on hand to celebrate their championship.

Billy Gray and Alex Swift led the field of winged 270 Micro Sprints to the green flag with Gray jumping into the early lead. Gray held a several car length advantage over Swift before the caution waved on lap twelve, erasing any advantage and putting the two frontrunners side-by-side for the restart. Swift pulled alongside of Gray for lap sixteen and then took the lead the next time around.

Swift led the way to the checkered over Gray, Luke Fogg, Jake Gent and Cole Wyers.

Jon Laureigh made it an even dozen as he raced to the win on Friday night. The Laureigh brothers combined for nineteen wins out of twenty-one events this season.

The two brothers started side-by-side in the third row. William Evans III led the first lap before Tyler Truex took over on lap two. Truex led for a pair of laps before J Laureigh took over on lap four. Brother Chris moved up to second and that’s the way they ran for the remaining distance. Charlie Moore finished third behind the Laureigh brothers followed by Truex and Nick Tomlinson.

It was a first track championship for Jonathan Laureigh.

Hannah Korman led the first lap but Waylon Wolf had his No. 44 out in front on lap two. David Morrision challenged Kormann for second late in the race to take second. Kylin Evans made a late raced pass to take third while Kormann and Anna Strachko completed the top five.

Kormann, the daughter of Modified driver, Eric Kormann, celebrated her track championship with her parents.

In the final race of the season for the Stage One Modifieds on the Bridgeport quarter mile, Brett Smith finished out the season the same way he started it – with a win. Smith was the winner of the first Stage One Modified race of the season at Spirit.

Smith led from the wave of the green to the wave of the checkered for the win. Jon Keller finished second followed by his brother, Richie in third. Carter Mullins finished fourth with Brandon Mullins rounding out the top five.

The Skyscraper 250 is on the schedule for this Friday featuring a 100 lap main event for the All Star Slingshots and fifty lap features for the 600 & 270 Micro Sprints and the Junior Slingshots.
