Bridgeport, NJ – We may be entering the last weeks of summer, but just like the temperature, the racing on the Spirit Auto Center Speedway is hot!

Steven Bracall put the Cobbs Mill Performance Team back in Weaknecht Archery Victory Lane in the Hyper Racing/EVO Injection 600 Micro Sprints.

Lee Reinhardt was the big winner in the winged 270 micro feature as the Mason Dixon Series made their second appearance of the season on the Spirit quarter mile.

Former All Star Slingshot Champion, Ryan Davey, found his championship form and captured his first win of the 2022 season.

Christopher Buffalino raced to his fourth Junior Slingshot victory at Spirit on a night of racing sponsored by On the High Side Apparel.

Bracall dominated the twenty-five lap main event for the 600s in spite of the stiff competition that pressured the leader througout the race.  Bracall grabbed the lead at the wave of the green from his third position start.  For nearly the first ten laps, Bracall had his Cobbs Mill team mate, Gary Bozowski  racing in his tracks.  Steven Snyder raced into second on a lap ten restart .  While Snyder had a fast race car, Bracall was able to hold Snyder at bay all the way to the checkered flag.

While Bracall led the way out in front, Bozowski, Bubba Hughes and PJ Williams were embroiled in a battle for third.
Bozowski was the winner of that battle as he trailed Bracall and Snyder to the checkered with Bubba Hughes and PJ Williams rounding out the top five.    Anthony Tramontana, Ryan Boyd, Sam Lamothe, Steve Fleetwood and Ethan Simpson completed the top ten in the running order at the checkered.
Past Winged 270 Champion, Nick Skias looked to be the man to beat in Friday night’s 270 feature event as he paced the field for the first twenty-two laps.  Lee Reinhardt raced into second on lap sixteen after starting deep in the pack and making his way by Alex Swift.
As the field exited turn four, headed to the completion of lap twenty-two, Skias pulled to the inside of the track. The Palmucci No. 16P lost power just three laps from the checkered flag.
Reinhardt drove away from the competition to grab the checkered over Swift,  Joe Dopke, Nick Walton and Lee Nardelli.  John West finished sixth followed by Stevie Daron, Blake Esham, Trevor Waegel and Austin Bower.   Additional contingency and bonus awards were paid out for this event.
In addition to his winnings, Reinhardt also picked up an Ace for his 2022 Poker Series hand.  Swift now holds an Ace and a King after the first two hands have been completed.
Ryan Davey led from the green flag to the checkered to capture his first All Star  Slingshot win of the season with Amanda Angstadt pressuring Davey to the checkered.  “I knew that I couldn’t make any mistakes,” Davey related. “I knew if I made one slip-up that the freight train was coming.”
Angstadt kept the pressure up on the leader as she raced ahead of current point leader, Michael Beckett. Ryan Harris won the battle for fourth with PJ Bozowski taking fifth.  It was Harris’ last race of the season as he heads to Ohio to start college.
Christopher Buffalino won his fourth Junior Slingshot race by outrunning, Brayden  Morrision.  Buffalino and Morrison have dominated the win column in the Friday night Junior Slingshots.  Shane McCarron finished third over Kenna Evans and Cody Williamson.
