Bridgeport, NJ – After eight different feature winners celebrated in the Weaknecht Archery Victory Lane, Tommy Kunsman became the first repeat winner in the Hyper Racing/EVO Injection 600 Micro Sprints at the Spirit Auto Center Speedway. Tyler Reinhardt raced to his first win in the Winged 270 Micro Sprints since the 2017 season. Ryan Harris raced to the win in the All Star Slingshots to collect his first win of the year while Christopher Buffalino began his own winning streak, winning back-to-back wins in the Junior Slingshot competition.

The battle for the lead began with the wave of the green flag in the twenty-five lap feature event for the 600s. Polesitter, Anthony Tramontana had his hands full with Rich Deck and current point leader. Matt Smith as they battled for the lead. Tramontana led the first two laps as Kunsman raced into second from his eighth place start. Kunsman was the race leader on lap three as Smith took over second on the next lap. Kunsman led Smith, Tramontana, Rich Deck and Chris Fenimore through lap five.

Kunsman was able to pull away from the field, racing ahead of Smith, Deck, Tramontana and PJ Williams at halfway. Lapped traffic laid ahead of the leader.

After two early incidents, the race ran green all the way to the checkered. Kunsman picked his way through lapped traffic to lead Smith, Deck, Williams and Tramontana to the finish line. Kyle Spence came through the field from seventeenth to finish sixth followed by Fenimore, Gary Bozowski, Olivia Haworth and Lavar Scott.

The winged 270 feature saw several lead changes before Tyler Reinhardt took the lead on lap thirteen.

Dominic Pomponi led the way for the first two laps before Tyler Grau raced by Nick Skias and then Pomponi. Grau was the car to beat as he drove away from the field. With twelve laps on the books, Grau slowed with mechanical issues. Grau’s exit moved Skias into the lead but Skias came to a stop on the track before the race was restarted. Reinhardt became the new leader.

Reinhardt led the way to the checkered followed by Alex Swift, Billy Gray, John Wagner, Jr. and George Nardelli. Reinhardt, a five time track champion in the 270 micro sprints, has not been a regular at Spirit since his last title in 2017.

Ryan Harris took the lead at the green flag and then led every lap to win the All Star Slingshot feature event. Amanda Angstadt raced in second but with two laps to go, Angstadt got turned around in turn four while racing with Michael Beckett for position.

Harris raced to the finish over PJ Bozowski. Angstadt raced her way back to take third over Rachel Johnson and Beckett at the checkered.

Christopher Buffalino made it two in a row in the Junior Slingshot feature. It was Buffalino’s third win overall. Six time feature winner, Brayden Morrision finished second followed by Nick Bilello and Cody Williamson.
