Bridgeport, NJ – After winning his first Hyper Racing 600 Micro Sprint win at Bridgeport’s quarter mile just a few short weeks ago, Robert Pierce picked up his second winiof the season on Friday night Dylan Pence won his second feature of the season in the A.C. Racing Products Winged 270cc Micro Sprints. Hannah Kormann and Khloe Dennis picked up their fifth wins in the Speedway Entertainment All-Star Slingshots and Junior Slingshots while Jonathan Laureigh won his fifth A-Main for thr Smith Fabrication Stage-1 Modifieds.
Chris Fenimore took command of the 600 event from the start. Pierce, Geordan Marrero, P.J. Williams and Matt Smith followed. Fenimore led the first nineteen circuits around the quarter mile. Fenimore made contact with a slower car and spun while leading on lap twenty-two. Pierce assumed command and led to the checkered flag for the win. Williams finished second folliwed by Matt Smith, Geordan Marrero and Fenimore who rebounded to finish fifth.
Dylan Pence led the 270 event from green to checkered for his second win of the season. Lee Nardelli overtook Alex Swift for second on the final lap. Swift was experimenting with a different motor combination in the Blanda No. 15. Billy Gray finished fourth with Cole Williams in fifth.
Matthew Lashley jumped to the lead in the All-Star Slingshot event. Lashley led early over Charlie Moore, Nick Tomlinson, Carl Taylor and Tyler O’Neill. Tomlinson and Kormann passed Moore for second and third on lap three dropping Moore to fourth. Kormann said that this pass was the key to her victory.
At the halfway mark, Lashley continued to lead over Tomlinson, Kormann, Moore and Carl Taylor. Tomlinson’s and Taylor’s night ended on lap thirteen. Lashley led lap fourteen before Kormann took command on lap 15. Moore passed Lashley for second with three laps remaining. Moore and Lashley crossed the finish line second and third followed by James Moeller and Tyler O’Neill. Moeller and O’Neill both failed post-race inspection, raising Mike Walsh and Joey Torchia to fourth and fifth.
In the Junior Slingshots, Danny Kurtz and Keegan Scott led the field to the green flag but Dennis was leading by the completion of lap one. Kenna Evans passed Kurtz for second on the opening lap. Luke Whitby and David Morrison ran fourth and fifth. Kylin Evans first passed Whitby for fifth and then Morrison for fourth. Dennis went on to earn her fifth Junior Slingshot feature of the season followed by Kylin Evans, Kurtz, Morrison and Luke Whitby. Scott, Jack Brey, Danica Weinberger, Kenna Evans and Danica Banks finished sixth through tenth.
Jonathan Laureigh led all 25-laps in the Stage-1 Modified feature event to claim the win over Brett Smith, Owen Cassel, Carter Mullins and Dylan Kontra.
