Bridgeport, NJ – PJ Williams raced to victory in the twenty-five lap Hyper Racing Evo Injection 600 Micro Sprint feature at the Spirit Auto Center quarter mile, ending a winless streak that goes back to the 2019 season.  Nick Skias took the lead early and raced to the win in the twenty lap 270 Micro Sprint feature that was caution free for the entire distance.  Spirit Auto Center was the sponsor of Friday night‘s racing events.

For the second week in a row, it was Brandon Pavel who led the way from the drop of the green in the 600 Micro Sprint feature.  Pavel raced the outside to take the lead with Steven Bracall quickly moving into second and Steven Snyder Jr. in the mix.  Several times, both Bracall and Snyder challenged for the lead but Pavel was able to hold them off.  Racing just behind the top three was PJ Williams who made his presence known as the race neared its halfway mark.

With Pavel out in front, Bracall ran second.  Williams raced Snyder for third while Wayne Scott and Connor Gross battled for fifth.  Gross had just taken over fifth when a red flag was needed for a multi-car incident in turn four.   Both Robert Miles and Stephen Fleetwood got upside down but neither driver was injured.

A double file restart followed.  The top three cars were battling.  Going into turn three, Snyder entered with a head of steam and slid Pavel for the lead.  Some contact occurred with Pavel spinning.  Several other cars were involved.  Pavel headed to the pits as Bracall, Snyder, Williams, Gross and Scott lined up for the restart.

Williams quickly moved up to second and raced Bracall for the lead.  After several laps of side by side action, Williams was the race leader on lap twenty.  With a clear track and clean air ahead, Williams had the AJ Rogers No. 29 pulling away from the field.

Williams raced to the win over Bracall, Gross, Snyder and Scott.  Eric Bodine came home to run the Bodine No. 99 and finished sixth.   Briggs Danner has been the weekly driver of the No. 99 in Eric’s absence but Eric quickly returned to the cockpit for a strong finish.  Sam Lamothe finished seventh followed by Frank Holmes, Gary Bozowski and Jayson Conover.

Nick Skias raced to his fifth win of the season in the Palamucci No. 16P.  Skias and Alex Swift are now tied with five wins a piece.

Billy Gray led the way on the original start but Skias was out in front by the end of lap one.   Nardelli and Swift battled for third on lap five with Swift taking the spot.  Swift then raced Gray for second and had secured the runner-up spot on lap nine.

At the crossed flags, Skias led Swift, Gray, Nardelli and Tommy Rinck.

Skias had stretched his lead to about a straightaway by the time Swift moved into second.  As they both raced through lapped traffic, Swift was able to narrow the margin of victory substantially but was not able to get close enough to challenge for the lead.

Skias took the win over Swift, Gray, Nardelli and Rinck.  Tyler Grau finished sixth followed by Nick Walton, Chris Locuson, Jimmy Wagner and Dom Pomponi.

Action returns to Spirit Auto Center Speedway on Friday night with the 270 and 600 Micros and Slingshots.
